Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Cesar’s Restaurant in Lake View, Chicago. Cesar’s Killer Margaritas has been a Lakeview restaurant for decades, offering dishes created from Mexico City family recipes passed down through 3 generations, and a lineup of margaritas.

With a menu full of Mexican classics and dishes like Enchiladas En Mole Poblano, made with Cesars’ El Mero Mole, Chile Relleno, and Steak Fajitas, to name a few.

The story of Cesars’ begins with the family’s matriarch, Senora Lulu, in Mexico City many generations ago. At just eight years old, Lulu worked alongside her grandmother Clarita Vasquez to create the recipe that would later bring Chicago Cesar’s El Mero Mole. Growing up, Senora Lulu loved working alongside her grandmother in the fonda, perfecting her culinary skills that she would later pass down to future generations and inspire the creation of Cesar’s restaurant, now run by Israel Sanchez with sister Lulu Duran helming the kitchen.

So dine in or order out this Hispanic Heritage Month at local restaurants that honor their past and culture throughout the year, not just in September.
